How To Clean Resistance Bands

2021-05-21

In recent times, more and more people are unable to go to the gym for exercise and choose to exercise at home. Then, the resistance band has become a good tool for women to exercise at home.

The resistance band is small, light, and easy to store. It is ideal for home exercise and can train your muscles well. Resistance bands are the same as other exercise equipment (such as yoga mats, dumbbells), and you need to clean them frequently. Every time you use them, they will come into contact with your skin and sweat. Whether it is latex tape or fabric resistance tape, it needs to be cleaned frequently. So, how to clean the resistance band?

How to clean the fabric resistance belt

Steps:

Prepare a basin or bucket.

Fill with warm water.

Add some mild detergent.

Put the resistance band into the basin or bucket of water.

Wash gently with your hands.

Rinse the resistance band carefully without wringing it out.

Hang the resistance band to make it dry outdoors and keep it away from direct sunlight.

Remember, you should gently wash your resistance band. In this way, you can maintain its flexibility, allowing you to use it for a longer period of time.

Can I use the washing machine to clean the fabric resistance band?

Most fabric resistance bands can be cleaned in the washing machine. You need to use a mild detergent and clean at a lower temperature. After cleaning, do not dry, just let it dry normally, avoid direct sunlight.

Latex Resistance Bands

How to clean latex resistance belt?

You can clean the latex resistance belt in the following two ways.

Method 1: Use detergent

Put your latex resistance band into the bucket.

Add some warm water.

Add some mild detergent.

Wash the resistance band gently with both hands.

Dry the resistance band with a towel.

Hang the resistance band and let it dry in a ventilated place and avoid direct sunlight.

Method 2: Do not use detergent

Soak the towel with clean warm water. Too hot water will damage the resistance band material.

Wipe the resistance band with a towel.

Wipe off excess water on the resistor tape with a dry towel.

Hang the resistance band outdoors and avoid direct sunlight to dry it.

Which cleaning method is better?

Of these two methods, cleaning the resistance band without using detergent is the simplest and most convenient cleaning method. But if the resistance band is very dirty, you can use detergent to clean the latex resistance band.

Which of the latex or fabric resistance belt is the easiest to clean?

The latex resistance band is suitable for thorough cleaning because of its high density, which prevents dust and bacteria from entering. Relatively speaking, the fabric resistance band needs to be cleaned more frequently, otherwise it will breed a lot of bacteria.
